Donor-Advised Fund, Network for Good, Unveils New Name: “For Good”
Network for Good, a 501(c)(3) that operates a technology-enabled donor-advised fund (DAF), today announced its official name change from Network for Good to “For Good.” The strategic rebrand follows Bonterra’s 2022 acquisition of Network for Good, a for-profit disbursement platform. This new identity reflects the organization’s expanded vision and its commitment to reducing confusion between the nonprofit and for-profit entities as it expands its reach and impact. Operating independently under its new name, For Good will continue its mission to unlock charitable giving at scale.
Founded in 2001, Network for Good was created to simplify online charitable giving – making it easier for individuals to donate and for nonprofits to receive grants. As a tech-enabled DAF, the platform streamlines charitable giving by processing donations, issuing receipts for tax-deductible contributions, and distributing funds to any of the more than 1.6 million eligible nonprofits, schools, and churches in its network. Since its inception, the platform has disbursed over $5.5 billion to more than 450,000 eligible nonprofits and schools. Looking ahead, For Good remains dedicated to advancing technology-driven fundraising solutions that make giving safe, seamless, and impactful.
As part of the rebrand, For Good will introduce enhanced features to its charitable giving platform, offering turnkey solutions for companies, campaigns, and individual donors to support the causes they care about most.
Included Features:
- Fast, frequent disbursement: Donations are processed swiftly via check or ACH so nonprofits receive payments quickly.
- Compliance automation: All recipients are vetted for IRS eligibility and compliance, ensuring trusted transactions.
- Exceptional customer support: For Good delivers a seamless giving experience for donors and a reliable payout process for nonprofits.
“For Good builds on more than two decades of trust, innovation and impact,” said Abby Ross, CEO of For Good. “Our new name reflects our nonprofit identity and underscores our continued independence and mission to make charitable giving easier for donors and more dependable for nonprofits. As we grow, we're focused on expanding access to charitable giving through technology that empowers anyone to support the causes they care about—confidently, securely, and for lasting good.”
For Good empowers individuals and organizations of all sizes to give, by partnering with some of the world's most recognizable brands, such as: Patagonia, Walmart, YouTube, and Bonterra. By aligning with the audience, customer base, and values of its partners, For Good unlocks large-scale giving opportunities – ensuring that funds reach nonprofits quickly and can be put to work where they’re needed most.
As part of the name change process, nonprofits will experience the same, or better, service and capabilities they’ve come to expect from us. Nonprofits will not need to register to receive disbursements from For Good, as they are already part of the over 1.6M eligible charities.
