Jeez, whenever I see either of these guys, the first words that come to my mind are 'Let them eat cake'.

Wakatabe, an advocate of proactive monetary easing, is seen possibly trying to sway his colleagues on the BOJ's decision-making board to take additional easing measures.

Obviously not because such measures acheived their stated objectives over the previous five years...

I'm sick of these loony toon characters demanding more of what hasn't done what it was intended to do, never recognising the possibility that their diagnosis of the root cause of the problems is off-the-mark.

No, instead they make excuses such as blaming the failure of the policies to acheive stated objectives on other things, such as a "consumption tax hike increase chilling consumption", or some such. These morons don't see the contradiction between demanding a 2% increase in the cost of living (due to monetary easing) and blaming their failure to acheive that because of a once-off 2-3% increase in the cost of living (due to a consumption tax rate increase).

Do you want increases in the cost of living, or not? Make up your mind, Mr Wakatabe.

At a post-meeting press conference, Federico Sturzenegger, president of the Argentina Central Bank, said : "The best phrase there is, when the sun is shining, it is the time to repair the roof," he said, the logic being for central banks to make leeway to act when conditions take a turn for the worse.

It's really a good quote, but the world economy of Trump policy is more in a raining day where there's no roof and where's to make leeway if all those nations not going to build up together a better policy of economic fairness. At least, they are present in this conference to share a better vision, or not?

Meanwhile, Japan's economy continues to expand moderately, but shows weaker inflation than in the United States and Europe. The BOJ intends to continue with powerful monetary easing with the aim of achieving its price stability target," he added.

Einstein said the definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing and expect different results.

Amen. At least he didn't get drunk and slur his speech like Shōichi Nakagawa.
