ARGENTINA: G-20 Economic Meetings Kicks Off In Buenos Aires

(Agencia CMA Latam) - The finance ministers and central bank governors of the main world economic powers hold their first meetings of 2018 today and tomorrow in Buenos Aires.

This week's meeting is the first of the five meetings scheduled for this year under the Argentinean presidency of the G-20 bloc. The Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Christine Lagarde, will also take part in the meeting.

Infrastructure financing, labor future, and cryptocurrencies technology should be some of the issues that the officials are expected to discuss, as well as the integration between the European Union and Mercosur and the trade war that the United States launched by placing tariffs on steel and aluminum imports.
